The ingredients needed to make POTATO  CURRY  WITH   PARWAL PAKORA:
  1. Prepare 6 Parwal medium sized (wash it properly. peel the skin and slit it)
  2. Get 2 Potatoes (wash properly and cut into big size)
  3. Make ready For dry ingredients
  4. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  5. Make ready 1 tsp black pepper
  6. Take 1/2 tsp garam masala
  7. Take For tempering-
  8. Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
  9. Prepare 1 bay leaf
  10. Get For gravy
  11. Make ready 1 onion cut in to big size
  12. Make ready 1 tomato cut into big size. Grind it coarsely
  13. Take For pakoras-
  14. Make ready 4 tbsp besan
  15. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  16. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  17. Take 1 tsp black pepper powder
  18. Get 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  19. Get 1 tsp coriander powder
  20. Take 1 tbsp Ginger, garlic and green chilli paste
  21. Take 1/2 tsp onion seeds
  22. Prepare 1 tsp ghee (optional)
  23. Take As required Spring onion
  24. Prepare to taste Salt
  25. Prepare As required Oil for cooking

This recipe is a curry which can be relished with rice or parotas. Hope you would like.. . . Make a slit on either side of the parwals. Fill the paste into these slits and keep aside.

Instructions to make POTATO  CURRY  WITH   PARWAL PAKORA:
  1. Marinate the Parwal with turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside for 1 hour.
  2. Take a bowl. Add besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder, ginger, garlic and green chilli paste, onion seeds, coriander powder and salt. Mix it well Add limited water. Again mix it well. Make a thick batter. Heat oil in kadai. When the oil is hot.
  3. Dip the parwal in the besan mixture. Dip fry the pakoras till it become light brown in colour. Once it is done. Transfer to a tissue paper. Drain the excess oil. And keep aside.
  4. In the same kadai. Add little oil. Add cumin seeds and 1 bay leaf. Let it crackle. Fry the potatoes till it become light brown in colour. Then add onion and tomato paste, ginger, green chilli and garlic paste also.. Saute it for few minutes. Then add all the dry ingredients. Mix it well. Till the raw smell of masala goes off. Once it is done. Add water as needed. Boil it for 5 minutes. After that add parwal pakoras. Cook for about 3 minutes. The add 1 tsp ghee. Once it is done
  5. Transfer to a beautiful white serving plate. Garnish with spring onion. Now it is ready to serve with hot steam rice

Make a slit on either side of the parwals. Fill the paste into these slits and keep aside. Heat the oil in a broad pan, add the parwals and saute till they turn soft and golden brown in colour.
