  2. Add the sliced onion and green chilli and saute for 3 minutes until the onions turn transparent. Then add the ginger and garlic, saute until raw smell goes off.
  3. Then add the green peas along with salt and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped cilantro, lemon juice and water, let it come to a boil. Finally add soaked rice and cook for 5 minutes in open pot.
  5. Then reduce the flame to low, cover the pan with lid and allow to cook for 5 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
  6. Turn off the flame and don't open the lid for 3 minutes. Then open the lid and fluff the pulao using a fork.
  7. Finally garnish with some more cilantro and serve with your favorite raita or curries or side dishes.
